Celebrity dog trainer 'filmed model girlfriend's deadly 100ft balcony plunge instead of helping her' | The Sun

A CELEBRITY dog trainer allegedly filmed his girlfriend falling to her death from a balcony instead of saving her.

Burak Ercan was acquitted by a court over accusations of aggravated murder – but the case has now been reopened amid public backlash.

Anzelika Srabiants, 33, plunged nearly 100ft to the ground from the balcony of Ercan's luxury condo in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 10, 2021.

Ercan had claimed that after going out for lunch, the couple had argued on the way home, and the row continued inside the apartment.

He said that while he was in the bathroom the model went onto the balcony and climbed onto the railings.

But instead of pulling her back, he pulled out his mobile phone and started filming.

Prosecutors had demanded aggravated life imprisonment for Ercan on charges of aggravated murder and deprivation of liberty.

But he walked free as the court in Istanbul decided there was a lack of evidence after he claimed he had wanted to record evidence that he had not pushed her off the edge.

The decision caused widespread outrage, and a formal complaint was filed by the family of the model.

Now Appeal Court judges have been ordered to re-open the case.
