The Chase’s Jenny Ryan is almost unrecognisable without her Vixen outfit and glasses

The Chase star Jenny Ryan was seen looking very different than viewers are used to as she appeared on BBC’s Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

The quizzer is best known for her Vixen persona on ITV’s The Chase, where she wears a dark dress and a distinctive pair of glasses.

However, viewers saw her adopting her own style as she hit the shops in the antiques show, which sees antiques experts accompany celebrities on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.

Jenny was joined by comedian Lucy Porter in the latest episode of the show, as she dressed down in jeans, trainers and a floral blouse.

The TV personality was seen trying to find valuable antiques to sell at an auction and ended up beating Lucy on the show – but only by getting a smaller loss.

Jenny had £400 to spend and was left with £385 at the end of the episode, compared to Lucy's £200.

Although the quiz master is best recognisable in her Vixen persona, she did previously appear as herself on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.

She also stunned on the red carpet at the National Television Awards earlier this year, where her cropped hairstyle and contacts made her look very different from the TV persona fans are used to seeing.

Jenny is no stranger to quiz shows, having also made appearances on Mastermind, The Weakest Link and Fifteen to One.

The Bolton-born redhead made her first quiz show appearance while a student at University of Leeds, where she helped her team reach the semi-finals of University Challenge in 2003.

She first joined The Chase as a question writer for its pilot episode in 2009, but later joined the programme as one of its stars in 2015, after being recommended by one of the show’s other chasers, Anne Hegarty.
