Lambrook school fees: How much does it cost and where is it? | The Sun

KENSINGTON Palace have announced that the Cambridges are moving to Adelaide College to be closer to the children's new school.

Here's everything you need to know about Lambrook school, the prep school Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will attend in September.

What is Lambrook school?

Set inside 52 acres of sprawling countryside, Lambrook school was founded in 1860 by Robert Burnside.

It's a co-educational independent day and boarding school for three to 13-year-olds.

The school was run as a "traditional" boys boarding school, and didn't accept girls until 1993.

At the start, the school had just one headmaster, by 1879 there were just 21 male students, including two grandsons of Queen Victoria – Albert, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein and Prince Christian Victor of Schleswig-Holstein.

Other notable alumni include the actor and model Alex Pettyfer, Lord Alfred Douglas, author, poet and lover of Oscar Wilde and Giles Clarke the founder of Majestic Wine.

Kensington Palace have announced that George, Charlotte and Louis will start at the school in September 2022.

Kensington Palace said: “Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values to Thomas’s.”

With 620 pupils its larger than the average prep school, but George, Charlotte and Louis will have the opportunity to use the school's state of the art dance studio, learn about bee-keeping and attend Harry Potter themed nights.

Where is Lambrook school?

It's described by the Good Schools Guide as as a "classic prep school" with a "heart of gold".

The school's headmaster has been Jonathan Perry since 2010.

On Lambrook school's website, Mr Perry said: 'We give our pupils the "feathers to fly" so that when they move on to the next stage of their educational journey, they will spread their wings and will take flight; leaving as confident, happy, engaging, mature, considerate and thoughtful young adults who are outward-looking global citizens.'

The school is located in the Berkshire countryside, in between the village of Winkfield and Bracknell, just three miles from Ascot.
