Gordon Ramsay, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix’s show axed as TV chef is replaced

Gino D'Acampo has announced that his ITV road trip show with chef Gordon Ramsey and First Dates host, Fred Sirieix has been axed.

Gino revealed the news on his social media page that Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip, which sees the culinary trio embark on food adventures around the world has been cancelled.

The Italian chef cheekily poked fun in the post at Gordon as he teased a new production with Fred.

The 45-year-old penned: "Breaking News…

"Unfortunately we will no longer be filming #GordonGinoandFred mainly because @gordongram is too busy working on his hair highlights in USA.

"But don’t worry guys, @fred_sirieix and I have a plan #JustinGinoandFred Coming soon…….GDx."

Fans were quick to comment on the post to share their disappointment that Gordon will no longer be part of the series.

On wrote: "Noooo!!!!!! Please reunite the trio!"

Another said: "Noooooo the 3 of u are the best, gutted but Fred and Gino will still be good, Gordon plz come back."

A third penned: "Oh no!! excited to see what’s next though!"

"Aww please continue even if it is without Gordon, I love watching you guys & the laughs along the way," said a fourth.

The ITV show follows chefs Gordon and Gino and First Dates host Fred as they visit a variety of countries around the world trialling the cuisine and experiencing the different cultures.

The Road Trip show first aired in 2018 where the chefs travelled across western Europe.

The hilarious trio have also produced shows in the US and Mexico and three Christmas Specials.

The most recent series was aired in September as the trio "Go Greek."

The latest series was shorter due to a Covid outbreak which threated production forcing bosses to not guarantee their safety.

A TV source told The Sun at the time: “Once the lads reached Egypt after a great time in Greece, there was a Covid outbreak, with many of the locals catching it.

"It soon became apparent the Egypt production team were not taking the protocols as seriously as they should, so Gordon pulled the plug on the advice of the show’s producers after some frantic calls to ITV.

"They flew straight home into quarantine and thankfully nobody picked up anything.

"It was the sensible thing to do, but it’s gutting as the latest instalment of the hit won’t be as long."
