Love Island’s Andrew slammed for ‘double standards’ and labelled ‘bitter’ amid Tasha drama

Love Island fans are calling out Andrew Le Page for “double standards” after he was left fuming when Tasha Ghouri chose to recouple with Billy Brown.

The shock recoupling on Thursday night saw the original contestants decide whether they wanted to stay with their partner or switch to one of the new boys or girls they’d been getting to know over the past few days.

Explosive scenes saw Andrew, 27, choose to recouple with new girl Coco Lodge, 27. He then accused Tasha, 23, of “lying more than Pinocchio” as he was visibly raging when she walked into the villa with Billy, 23.

Andrew was previously told by the girls in Casa Amor that Tasha was taking him for a fool, which prompted him to "think about myself for once" and crack on with newcomer Coco.

So some fans online were quick to brand Andrew as having “double standards” over his annoyance towards Tasha, considering they both chose to re-couple with new people.

On Instagram, one commenter wrote: “Andrew is so BITTER, the double standards!”

In reply, another wrote: “literally!! this season has been so sexist it’s insane."

Another viewer was in agreement, writing: “Andrew’s behaviour is disgraceful. YOU LITERALLY DID THE SAME THING SO GET OVER IT BABE”.

However, not everyone agreed that Andrew’s behaviour was a double standard.

Another person wrote: “Tasha was using him. The real double standard is that Tasha can use him for weeks and yet he’s somehow the bad guy.”

Another person suggested: “He really liked Tasha and obviously Tasha didn’t like him as much. He has every right to be bitter.”

As Tasha walked into the villa in Thursday night’s episode, Andrew looked incensed as he said: "What a shock horror. F*****g hell."

As Tasha said that by picking Billy she was staying true to herself, Andrew looked at the boys and said: "Did she actually say that? That's mad."

When asked what he would say to Billy, Andrew said: "Nah…to be fair…I think the Casa Amor girls said it…Yeah she's fake to be honest. To be fair mate, good luck to you. She tells more lies than Pinocchio."

Later on, Andrew and Billy had a chat and cleared the air, before Tasha came over for a chat with Andrew.

He told her: "Went into Casa Amor, obviously very positive about me and you, like my feelings were real, like I f*****g somehow still really f*****g care about you.

"I was honestly prepared to sleep outside and my head was probably not going to turn.

"The very first thing that the girls said was, they were literally like 'Andrew, what are you doing? You need to open your eyes, we've literally heard everything that she's been saying behind your back, and I just feel like a f*****g mug, I feel like an absolute mug.

"I don't understand how you can say you've never felt like this about someone else and have a better connection with this guy [Billy] four days later, it doesn't make any sense.

"I've backed you every day in here and I've been completely f*****g honest with you every single day."

Tasha then got irate calling the Casa Amor girls "b*****s", saying "they don't see what goes on day in, day out of what we do together".

Tasha explained that she "cut herself off" in Casa Amor but then had a conversation with Billy and realised she was "more herself".

When she told Andrew she didn't appreciate what he did at the firepit during the recoupling, and said that it "was not Andrew", he softened said: "Yeah I know it's not me."

She also asked Andrew what was going on with Coco, and he said: "We had a good time, I'm not gonna lie, I had a good time, I did kiss her."

He continued: "Do I see a future? Don't think so.

"I'm f**king hurt. Like I have, I do, and have real f**king feelings for you. I'm not gonna lie, I was falling for you massively, but even though I'm hurt, unfortunately, I still think the world of you, I still want you to be happy, 'cause I do."

He then pulled her over for a cuddle, saying: "I don't want any animosity between me and you."

As they shared a tender embrace, Andrew said into Tasha's ear: "Whatever you do Tash, I'll always support you alright? Just do what you need to do, alright?"
