The Loose Women Christmas Special is set to see all the festive fun with ‘Secret Santa’ gifts, music and the Loose ladies getting into the Christmas spirit. Joining Ruth Langsford, Brenda Edwards, Coleen Nolan, Judi Love, and Janet Street-Porter from home is Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, returning to the show after they welcomed their baby daughter Rose. Joe revealed that the pair have had to keep their son, Rex, away from the new arrival as he has become “obsessed”.

Back in October, Joe and Stacey announced the birth of their baby girl Rose on Instagram, which sent fans into a meltdown.

Stacey had previously gone on maternity leave from the Loose Women panel to get ready for the arrival of their new family member.

Alongside a collage of images, Stacey wrote: “She’s Here, born at Pickle Cottage on mummy’s birthday.

“Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter… We all love you more than you could ever imagine.

“Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love. Thank you for the most incredible 9 months. Now we cannot wait for the rest of our lives with you….” (sic)

During the Loose Women Christmas special, Stacey and Joe appeared on the show via video link from their home, Pickle Cottage, and welcomed baby Rose to the panel.

After welcoming them to the show, Judi explained how much she thinks Rose looks like her two-year-old brother Rex.

Stacey replied: “Oh my gosh, everyone says that. Sometimes I look down, and I can’t believe it’s not Rex.”

After the ladies finished gushing over baby Rose, the pair were asked how Rex has accommodated to the new addition to the family and no longer being the baby.

Joe replied: “He adores her, he’s obsessed, if anything, we’re trying to keep him away from her.

“No, he’s been brilliant, he’s been really, really good with her.”

The pair also spoke about their plans for Christmas and the excitement they share as their son Rex is more aware of the season this time around.

Stacey told the panel: “This is such an exciting time for Rex. He’s two and a half, and it’s the first Christmas he’s had where he’s like, ‘Wow.’

“The older boys are excited for him as well. It’s so lovely and nice to see them all together getting excited. And it’s just nice to be in the house.”

Joe weighed in: “It’s our first Christmas in our new house. It’s the first Christmas with our new baby, and it’s the first Christmas we’re going to be as one big unit, we’re going to have a really lovely, lovely time.”

Opening the show, Brenda sang her version of Leona Lewis’s Christmas hit One More Sleep before joining the panel, who were all dressed in their finest sparkles.

The ladies discussed whether their families have Christmas Day schedules and routines, where Ruth revealed she gets stressed when people tell her to “chillax”.

Coleen said: “I am up at about six in the morning. I go down and put the Christmas lights on, I blast out Michael Bublé, and then I run around the house going, ‘Santa’s been.’ And I have my 33-year-old son going, ‘Mum, I’m 33.’”

Judi also joined the panel from the studio grotto and revealed she is the first one up in her house and will always dress up for the day.

The ladies also took part in Secret Santa, where they were all thrilled with their presents from one another.

Loose Women Christmas special airs at 10am, Christmas Eve on ITV and ITV Hub.
